‘Hitched’ touches down in the Waikato June 6th 2026

We’re excited to announce this coming June [Saturday, June 6th 2026], sees the much loved, award-winning, ‘Hitched’ Wedding Show moving from Cambridge to the mighty Waikato!

Expanding from Rotorua into two additional locations post-Covid, ‘Hitched’ launched into Cambridge in 2023, and in Tauranga in 2024.

The Cambridge show quickly outgrew its venue* [*the iconic Cambridge Town Hall], so organisers Pete & Valeta Duncan elected last year to move the event to Hamilton in 2026.

It makes sense for ‘Hitched’ to move to Hamilton as it serves as a central ‘hub’ for couples living in Hamilton, Gortontown, Cambridge, Te Awamutu, and the surrounding areas. The great thing about
re-positioning the show in the heart of Hamilton in the new year, is the State Hwy One expressway means Auckland based couples are only an hours drive away. – Pete Duncan, ‘Hitched’ Show Director.

‘Hitched’ has an exquisite runway reputation which attracts brides-to-be from throughout the region to exclusive selection of bridal and fashion houses strut their latest collections. To accommodate the evolving needs of both exhibitors and visitors alike, the upcoming ‘Hitched’ shows will take on a different approach to their traditional runway(s).

In response to feedback from our valued exhibitors, we’ve chosen to split our traditional show into two parts. The first is our standard ‘Hitched’ Wedding Show which for the first time won’t feature a wedding/fashion runway within its programme.

The runway will feature as a seperate event, showcasing as a later evening event. This ensures our wedding show exhibitors maximise their time with eager couples, while affording those deliberately capivated by all things “wedding/fashion” to enjoy an exclusive evening event in a relaxed setting.
